Rick Santorum won the Colorado caucuses with a surprise win of 40.35% and a +5.46% margin over Mitt Romney, who took second place.

Romney lost 25.22% on percentage over his performance in 2008 (-19,206 votes). This is the first Romney Primary state from 2008 that he has lost in 2012.


Ron Paul placed fourth in both cycles, but both his actual votes and his percentage improved in 2012.
